Printing explained
Our diagrams show each test step as a numbered arena, with the movements for the step marked on the arena. The movements are also written out beside the arena. In the case of premium tests (marked ), this description is exactly the same as in the official competition tests so can be read aloud by a commander.

Ordinary browser printing won't work so the website has its own printing mechanism. It divides the printout into pages, correctly positions lines and shapes and also offers a range of printing options such as colour schemes, orientation and the ability to print in columns.

Printing is controlled from the Print Control bar shown below. This appears as soon as you select a test from your portfolio, or create a new test. You can access the guide by clicking the printer symbol and get help with problems by clicking the question mark.

How to print a test
Select a test from your portfolio. The test will appear along with the Print Control bar and a Settings link. If you want to change colour schemes, select grids or adjust paper size, then click  Settings. If you are a subscriber, you only need to do this once. Your settings will be retained for future use.

To print diagrams, just click on the A, C, B or E buttons for a view from that arena marker. We call the view from C the judges' view and the views from B and E the commander views. Using the top row (2) will give printouts of usually 2 or 3 pages. The bottom row (3) gives one-page (compact) printouts, useful for quick reference once you are familiar with the tests. If you want your printouts in columns (rather than rows), click the tick box (1) first.

Examples of printouts
View from A end (left to right)   View from A end (columns)
View from C end (left to right)   View from C end (columns)
View from B side (left to right)   View from B side (columns)
View from E side (left to right)   View from E side (columns)

Availability of print options
Compact printing and commander views are available only to current subscribers. Non-subscribers can of course use standard printing and rider or judge viewpoints. Whether you are a subscriber or not, you can apply all of your available options to both purchased and self-designed tests as often as you want.
